Voltage meter shows a reduction in voltage

Last night I used a multimeter to test the mat. Sure enough, if I stand or sit on the mat, the voltage goes down to 0 from around 1.4. Even sitting on the mat with my jeans on, the voltage still goes down to 0. I purchased two Grounding Conductive Carbon Mat for Computer 10x12in for my classroom. I have a sitting desk where I do admin type tasks on a desktop and I have a standing desk where I demonstrate math problems to my students, so I didn't want to keep moving the mat back and forth 20x per day. I do take one mat home at th end of the day for any computer work I have to do at home. I can't say that I feel better at the end of the school day, but the voltage meter doesn't lie.

It was a gift for my sister.

It was a gift for my sister. She works at home in front of 2 large computer screens n tablet. She was loosing sleep by not being able to go at a decent hour. She's grounding with it under her feet for an hour n 7 hours under her keyboard about 6 days now. She's been going to bed by midnight which is an improvement. Hoping in a week or so she notices a bigger improvement. Then I would give it 5 stars.
