EMF Protection at its Finest
REDEMPTION SHIELD
MASTER GUIDE & FAQ

Yes. Our shielding canopies are made with high-quality conductive fabric designed to significantly reduce RF (radio-frequency) radiation exposure when properly installed.
Since 2020, we have fulfilled thousands of orders, and many of our customers verify the reduction themselves by measuring radiation levels before and after installation with RF meters.
Because RF environments vary depending on nearby sources such as cell towers, routers, and other wireless devices, the level of reduction can differ from one location to another.
For those who want to test their own environment, we recommend using an RF radiation meter, such as the EMF Meter HF-B3G Triple Axis HF RF Analyzer or the Trifield TF2, to measure RF levels before and after installing the canopy.
To ensure the canopy is providing the protection you expect, test it with an RF meter. Note: Cell phone signal strength (bars) is not an accurate indicator of shielding. Phones often use different frequencies or increased power to maintain a signal even when the ambient radiation levels have been significantly lowered.
Premium Materials & Thoughtful Design
Our products are crafted using high-quality shielding materials, including silver-spun cotton and 100% silver-spun nylon, chosen for their conductivity, durability, and comfort.
These specialized fabrics help create a breathable protective barrier around your sleeping space, allowing you to rest and recharge in a more shielded environment without sacrificing airflow or comfort.
At Redemption Shield, we focus on carefully selecting materials and products that meet high standards for both performance and comfort, helping take the guesswork out of searching for EMF shielding solutions.
Comparison: Popular Shields vs. Redemption Shield
Many consumer-grade shielding canopies prioritize appearance or light fabric feel. Redemption Shield products are selected for consistent shielding performance, quality materials, and breathable construction.
| Feature | Popular Shields | Redemption Shield |
|---|---|---|
| Material Composition | Often hybrid fabrics (ex. cotton blended with metallic fibers) | Silver-spun shielding fabrics |
| Consistency | Shielding effectiveness can vary depending on frequency | Designed for stable attenuation across a wide frequency range |
| Blocking Performance | Performance may decrease at higher frequencies | Tested shielding performance across multiple RF bands |
| High-Frequency Coverage | Limited data available for higher frequencies | Laboratory-tested shielding fabrics used in construction |
| Protection Level | Varies depending on fabric and construction | High-conductivity fabrics designed for strong attenuation |
If you live on a second floor or higher, additional underbody protection may be beneficial to help reduce RF signals that can pass upward through the floor.
Creating a more complete shielding “bubble” can be achieved by placing conductive shielding materials beneath your sleeping area, such as stainless steel floor fabric, grounding bed mats, or grounding bed sheets.
These additions help extend the shielding coverage below the bed, supporting a more comprehensive protected sleep environment when used with a canopy.
- Pain Relief: Reduction in chronic inflammation and joint discomfort.
- Sleep Quality: Improved sleep cycles and stabilization of biological rhythms.
- Immune Support: Enhanced immune function through cellular balance.
- Ion Balance: Emission of negative ions to balance the positive ions generated by EMFs.
No. Grounding products do not use electrical power. They work by transferring the Earth’s natural energy through the ground wire of your outlet or a dedicated ground rod. They consume zero electricity and will not impact your utility bill.
No. You can safely leave them plugged in 24/7. They do not “run” or consume power; they are simply a conduit for the Earth’s natural energy.
- Synthetic Bedding: Avoid polyester or nylon sheets/pajamas. These act as insulators and block the flow of electrons.
- Plastic Covers: Ensure there are no plastic mattress protectors between your skin and the grounding product.
- Recommendation: For the best experience, use 100% natural fibers (Cotton, Linen, Silk).
Yes. Animals have an instinctual desire to connect with the Earth. Many indoor pets are naturally drawn to our mats. Safety Tip: Secure grounding cords with tape if you have a curious pet.
Our Redemption Shield® AirTube headsets are designed to work with many devices that support a 3.5mm headphone connection, including laptops, tablets, and many smartphones. They work especially well for listening to music, podcasts, and other audio while helping keep electronic components away from the head and ears.
These headsets use air tubes instead of traditional wiring near the ears, with the speakers positioned farther away in the cable. Sound travels through the hollow tubes as air vibrations, allowing you to listen comfortably without having electronic components directly in your ears.
For phone calls, compatibility depends on your device connection.
- Devices with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack typically support both audio and microphone functions.
- For iPhone models 5–14, a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter that supports both audio input and output is required for phone calls.
- Many newer adapters only support audio output, so it’s important to choose one that also supports microphone input if you plan to make calls.
These headsets are ideal for everyday activities such as walking, exercising, working on a laptop, or listening to podcasts, offering a comfortable fit and clear stereo sound.
Many of our Faraday bags are designed with two separate pockets that serve different purposes.
The shielded pocket is lined with conductive shielding material and is designed to block wireless signals such as cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and RFID when the device is fully enclosed. This pocket is typically used when you want to completely isolate the device from wireless signals.
The outer pocket is not fully shielded, allowing your phone to still receive calls or notifications while creating a layer of shielding material between your body and the device. This helps reduce the amount of RF radiation directed toward your body while carrying your phone.
Not all Faraday bags are made the same. Many lower-quality options use only one or two layers of shielding fabric, which can affect durability and performance. At Redemption Shield, we continually improve our designs and currently use three layers of shielding fabric to provide more reliable signal attenuation and long-lasting protection.
This thoughtful design gives you the flexibility to either block signals completely or maintain connectivity while adding an extra layer of protection.
AirTube headsets are designed differently from traditional wired earbuds. In a typical headset, electrical wires run directly to the speakers inside the earbuds, which sit in the ears. These wires can act like small antennas that carry electrical signals and radiofrequency energy toward the head.
AirTube headsets use a different design. The speakers are positioned farther down the cable, away from the ears, and sound travels the rest of the way through hollow air tubes as sound vibrations rather than through electrical wiring. This design helps reduce the amount of electrical and RF energy that reaches the ears while still delivering clear audio.
Because of this design, many people choose AirTube headsets as a lower-exposure alternative to traditional wired earbuds, especially when making phone calls or listening to audio for extended periods.
1. Check for Gaps in Shielding
Make sure your canopy is fully closed and properly overlapped. Even a small opening can allow RF “leakage” and affect your readings.
2. Watch for the “Antenna Effect”
Ensure there are no unshielded power cords, extension cords, or electronic devices inside the canopy. These can act like antennas and bring RF inside the protected space.
3. Confirm Meter Settings
Verify that your EMF meter is set to RF (Radio Frequency) when testing canopies. Other settings (like magnetic or electric fields) will not reflect RF shielding performance.
4. Sleeping Above Ground Level
If you’re on a second floor (or higher), you must use a bottom layer of shielding beneath you. Even basements can allow underbody EMF exposure without proper shielding below.
5. Avoid Testing with a Cell Phone
Cell phone apps are not reliable for accurate RF readings. A quality, dedicated EMF meter is an essential tool for properly testing your setup.
6. Is There a Smart Meter Nearby?
If a utility smart meter is located close to your sleeping area, fabric shielding alone may not be sufficient. Please contact us for guidance on more comprehensive solutions.
7. Ensure Proper Grounding (If Applicable)
If your product is designed to be grounded, confirm it is properly connected to a verified grounded outlet or grounding rod. An outlet tester can help confirm correct wiring.
8. Test Inside vs. Outside the Canopy
Take a reading outside the canopy first, then step fully inside and close it completely before testing again. Holding the meter partially inside or near an opening can distort readings.
9. Turn Off Nearby Devices During Testing
WiFi routers, cordless phones, tablets, and smart home devices can spike readings. Temporarily power them down to isolate your shielding performance.
10. Check for External RF Sources
Nearby cell towers, neighbor WiFi routers, or exterior antennas can influence readings. In high-exposure environments, additional layers or wall shielding may be required for optimal reduction.
Silver or Stainless Steel is a sensitive conductor. Proper care is vital to preserving its lifespan.

Health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) are programs that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare expenses. If you’re unsure whether or not you have an HSA or FSA account, please check with your employer or insurance company.
While it is possible to do so with Truemed, we do not recommend attempting to checkout with your HSA/FSA cards for compliance purposes. We strongly encourage simply transacting with your normal credit or debit card, and submitting for reimbursement as outlined above for the greatest likelihood of success.
Yes. If you prefer to use your regular credit card, Truemed will send you instructions on how to submit for reimbursement from your HSA//FSA administrator.
You can use your HSA/FSA dollars all year long. However, FSA dollars expire at the end of the year and unused money may not rollover into the next year. Make sure to spend the rest of your FSA dollars before December 31st, use it, so you don’t lose it!
Generally it takes 24-48 hours. In some cases, Truemed’s provider team will require additional time to issue a letter of medical necessity based on the needs associated with an individual qualification survey. If you aren’t seeing your letter in your inbox, check spam, then reach out to us at support@truemed.com for help.
While this depends on your specific HSA or FSA administrator’s policies, we advise that you only submit expenses incurred on or after the date listed on your Letter of Medical Necessity.
Unfortunately, Truemed’s services are for individuals who have HSA or FSA accounts (or plan to fund one during open enrollment). We encourage you to ask your employer about information on your HSA or FSA!
The following products are not currently approved for HSA/FSA payment, though eligibility guidelines may change in the future:
1. Neutralizing Cell Phone Stickers
2. EMF Protection 4 Door Bed Canopy
3. Grounding Continuity Tester for Earthing Products
4. In-Home Circuit Analyzer for Grounding Products
5. EMF Protection Air Tube Headsets / AirTube Earphones
6. Copper Bracelet & Ring Sets
Can I still purchase these items?
Yes. These products can still be purchased using a regular credit or debit card, but they cannot be included in a Truemed HSA/FSA order.
What if I want to purchase both eligible and non-eligible products?
Please place two separate orders: One order using Truemed HSA/FSA payment for eligible products. A second order using a traditional payment method for non-eligible items.
Will these items become eligible in the future?
Possibly. Eligibility is based on current HSA/FSA guidelines, which may change over time.
The items in your Truemed Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) are now considered qualified medical expenses, similar to expenses such as doctor’s visits or certain medical products.
Research continues to examine how environmental factors, such as electromagnetic fields (EMFs), sleep quality, and the body’s electrical balance, may influence overall health and recovery. Products designed to reduce EMF exposure and support grounding during sleep may help create a healthier sleep environment and support better rest. When recommended by a licensed healthcare provider for a specific health concern, these types of products may qualify as medical expenses.
With a Truemed Letter of Medical Necessity, eligible Redemption Shield grounding and EMF shielding products may qualify for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA, provided they meet IRS requirements and are used to support medically necessary care.
There is a small fee for using Truemed at the end of the qualification survey.
Yes. You can still submit for partial reimbursement. For example: if you purchase an eligible item for $100 but only have $60 in your account, you can reimburse $60 of your purchase with your tax-free funds (with the remaining $40 paid for as normal).
If you have already received a Letter of Medical Necessity for purchasing specific products from a Redemption Shield, you do not need to complete Truemed’s survey again so long as your Letter of Medical Necessity remains valid. Letters of Medical Necessity are typically valid for 12 months after they are first issued. You do still need to submit your receipts for reimbursement with your HSA/FSA administrator.
Unfortunately, Truemed is currently only available in the United States.
